Timothy S. Bell, CPA, Principal

Timothy S. Bell, CPA is a 1991 graduate of Nichols College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration – Accounting. Mr. Bell has nearly 20 years experience in accounting and finance, including several years in public accounting with regional and national firms where he performed auditing, accounting and tax engagements for public and private sector clients. Prior to joining Thevenin, Lynch, Bienvenue, LLP in 2003, Mr. Bell was a controller for a technology firm for 4 years, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial administration. Mr. Bell’s prior audit experience is with the Boston office of Deloitte and Touche, LLP and a local Cape Cod accounting firm with related service of two and four years, respectively.

Tim has significant experience providing accounting, auditing, consulting and tax services to municipal, non-profit and commercial clients and substantial experience in government and non-profit finance, federal grant (Single Audit) requirements, financial and grant management and accounting systems. In addition to carrying out traditional engagements, other experience includes GASB and FASB implementations, Schedule A preparation, internal control evaluations and other consulting engagements for municipal clients; UFR preparation, cost allocation plan and cost study services and analysis, and tax-exempt financing for non-profit clients and in various business matters for commercial clients. Tim is responsible for overseeing firm engagements in several practice areas and in providing technical review and advice to firm clients and staff alike.

Tim resides with his family in Webster, Massachusetts where they are active in the local community.

Professional affiliations include the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
