MLB has several experienced professionals on staff who have acted as Town Accountant’s, Treasurers or who have prepared municipal budgets. Our professionals are timely and efficient, generally resulting in an engagement cost that can be surprisingly low, especially compared to the cost of retaining the same expertise full-time on your own staff.

Treasurers have hired MLB to assist them get up to date on complex and time consuming bank reconciliations and to get their debt records up to date. We have implemented reconciliation policies and procedures, cash book systems and reconciliation systems.

Town Accountants have asked us to prepare Schedule A, their CAFR, establish a chart of accounts, analyze ledger accounts, “close the books,” and to prepare financial reports for the Town and third-parties. We have been responsible for all aspects of financial reporting through certification of free cash and the municipal audit.

MLB has been responsible for putting together municipal budgets, completing tax rate recaps, prop. 2 ½ levy limit calculations, among other budgetary engagements.
